"I work in an intensive care unit."
I’m a doctor, not a politician. I work in an intensive care unit. But the thing that keeps me up at night is climate change. A lot of people do not want to think about it, but it is inescapable. Its effect on our future, and our childrens future hangs over every action we take, or do not take.
But we can create a new future, a future we can be proud of – that we deliberately make for ourselves, our children and their children. At the moment the fossil fuel economy is choosing a future for us, and that future is without hope.
"Voting for me means voting for a clean energy economy and a prosperous future."
But it doesn’t have to be that way....
Vote for a clean energy economy instead. The clean energy economy means well-paid jobs, healthy local businesses and a solid tax base to fund schools and pay teachers.
As I said, I’m not a politician. I’ll be the first to tell you that I don’t have experience as an elected official. But working in the ICU, I do know how to get a group of experts together to fix real problems. We all want a healthy future.
